SMS Policy

Effective date: 4/1/2026

This SMS Policy explains how Monti ("we", "us", "our") uses Short Message Service (SMS) to communicate with customers and subscribers. It describes the types of messages you may receive, how we obtain consent, how to opt out, and what charges may apply.

1. Scope and purpose

This policy applies to all SMS communications sent by Monti for service notifications, appointment reminders, reservation confirmations, marketing messages (if you opted in), and other customer service related messages.

2. Types of SMS messages

  • Transactional messages: Confirmations, appointment reminders, reservation details, status updates.
  • Marketing messages: Promotional offers or updates (only sent if you explicitly opt in).
  • Operational messages: Security alerts, service notifications or policy updates.

3. Consent (Opt-in)

We will only send marketing SMS messages if you have provided clear and affirmative consent (opted in). Consent may be collected via web forms, SMS keywords, or other explicit opt-in methods. Transactional and operational messages may be sent without marketing consent when necessary to provide the service you requested.

4. How to opt out (Stop)

To stop receiving SMS messages from us, reply with the word STOP to any SMS you receive from Monti. After processing your request, we will send a confirmation message and you will no longer receive marketing messages. You may still receive transactional messages related to active bookings or services.

5. Message frequency and charges

Message frequency varies depending on your interactions and subscriptions. Standard message and data rates may apply according to your mobile carrier plan. Monti is not responsible for any charges imposed by your carrier.

6. Updating your preferences

You can change your SMS preferences or phone number by contacting our support team or updating your account settings if available. For assistance, contact us at info@montitrans.com.

7. Data retention and privacy

We retain SMS logs and related personal data only for as long as necessary to provide our services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Data is processed in accordance with our privacy practices.

8. Security

We implement reasonable security measures to protect SMS data. However, SMS is not a completely secure medium and you should avoid sharing highly sensitive personal information via text messages.

9. Third parties

We may use third-party service providers to send SMS messages on our behalf. These providers may process phone numbers and message content to deliver messages. We require third parties to meet appropriate data protection and security standards.

10. Compliance with laws

We comply with applicable laws and regulations governing electronic communications, including opt-in/opt-out requirements and Do Not Call lists. Where required, we will provide required disclosures at the time of opt-in.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this SMS Policy from time to time. We will post any changes on this page and update the effective date above. Continued use of SMS communications after changes indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
